"Life will be more fun": Russia will start supplying vodka to South Africa

Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the supply of Russian vodka to South Africa. The agreement on importing strong alcohol to this country was announced by Vice President of the Republic of South Africa Paul Mashatile at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Putin called the established supplies of vodka to South Africa an “important step” that could contribute to the expansion of economic relations between the two countries.
"If you drink vodka, you have to have something to eat with it. And that's why this will probably be followed by deliveries of meat products or grain," RIA Novosti quotes the head of state as saying.
"More vodka will help the world and lead it to a better state," noted the session moderator Nadim Koteish. "It will be more fun to live - that's for sure," Putin responded to this.
By the way, according to Rosalkogoltobakkontrol, vodka production in Russia fell by 15.6% in the first four months of 2025 compared to the same period last year. At the same time, Russia became the third in vodka supplies to China, writes Prime.
